  • If the results of the entrance examination indicate that a student is unable to attend classes in Japanese, he/she may be required to take classes in Japanese.
  • Tuition fees are the same as for regular departments and courses, even if you take the Japanese Language Program.

Application Requirements for International Students

Applicants must have studied at a Japanese language school for at least 6 months or have passed JLPT N2 level or above, and have a guarantor who lives in Japan*1 or abroad*2.

  • 1 Japanese nationals or foreigners with permanent resident status in Japan.
  • 2 In principle, one of the parents or a relative. A copy of the guarantor's official identification such as passport or driver's license and contact information (address, telephone number, and e-mail address) must be submitted. In this case, the guarantor must be able to provide a person who lives in Japan and understands Japanese well as a guarantor*3.
  • 3 A friend or acquaintance over 20 years old and residing in Japan who can be contacted in case of emergency (injury, illness, accident, incident, etc.). Please note that underwriters will not be responsible for tuition or other financial obligations.
  • There are other application qualifications and requirements for international students. Please be sure to check the application guidelines posted on the web application site of the school's website.

In Japanese 1, students take classes focusing on "reading," "writing," and "presentation" three times a week to acquire the Japanese language skills necessary to attend classes in Japanese without difficulty, with the aim of passing the N1 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. In Japanese 2, students take classes focusing on "writing" and "presentation" twice a week, and prepare for essays, entry sheets, and interviews in Japanese.
